Usually after the first day, washing your hair twice is the norm. You will be given the shampoo by your surgeon to wash the scalp where the transplants were done for effective cleaning.

The need to wear the bandages will not be there as healing starts. Normal hair care is possible after nearly 2 weeks of the hair replacement surgery.

Precautions after hair replacement surgery

Consumption of alcohol is prohibited for the next few days while you cannot smoke for a minimum of 2 weeks. Chances of complications and failure of the procedure is high if these are not followed. If you intend going out in bright sunlight, cover your head with a hat or scarf.
